You may have noticed I now have a section for my daily Tarot card readings. It’s something that I do on Instagram and I thought I should do it on my website too.

What is a daily reading though? A lot of tarot readers do a daily reading for themselves. It can help them understand their mindset and daily goals, it can even give them insight into what kind of day they’re going to have. Some people do a daily reading at the end of the day so that they can evaluate the activities of the day and better understand any lessons they may have learned.

You may now be wondering who my public daily readings are for. Are they for me or the people who read it? And surely they can’t be for the people who read it because not everyone is having the same daily experiences.

A lot of tarot readers on Instagram do daily readings. I didn’t to start with because I didn’t understand who they were aimed at. It seemed pointless putting a daily reading I did for myself on Instagram because no one cares about that.

The day I decided to put daily readings online was when I was watching a ‘Monster High Doll repaint’ video on YouTube, I was half paying attention to it but I was needle felting at the same time so when that video ended, another video began playing automatically. I was expecting another doll repaint video but it wasn’t. It was a tarot reading video for the week ahead. Again I was only half listening at first but I ended up putting my needle felting kit to one side because this reading became increasingly accurate for me and my situation. It could have been a personal reading with my name on it, it was so precise! I felt like that video came on for a reason, I was supposed to see it because it applied to me.

I look at daily tarot readings on Instagram in the same way. If you see one then it may mean you were meant to see it as it contained a message that the universe may have thought you needed to know.

When I do a daily reading it is usually for myself but I put it online because I know that there will be a few people out there who will come across it and find that it resonates with them. Even if it doesn’t necessarily predict the future, sometimes it’s nice to get a bit of advice, guidance or confirmation that you’re doing something right.

If you didn’t stumble across an online reading but instead watch or read one person’s readings every day then you’ll probably find that it’s hit and miss when it comes to accuracy. Regardless of that, the times when it does resonate with you is nice and it can be very helpful or even uplifting.

There is a second reason for putting daily readings online. Don’t think it shallow of me but I think tarot cards are pretty and I like taking pictures of them 😁

Please follow me on Instagram and if you’re feeling generous then please make a donation and get a tarot reading in return! 😊

  1. My red flags of alarm went off when I saw the word shallow. Your anything but shallow. If someone thinks or thought you are shallow they don’t belong here. Maybe they should look into horoscopes! I have dabbled with the Tarot cards off and on for around 40 years now. I even quite recently took a free online class within the last year actually getting a degree. It’s fun to have someone else do it though; daily readings are nice to read and is reminding me to pick up reading my cards again on a more regular basis. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s all good to me:) Also I love your pretty cards.

    1. Thank you so much for the kind words 😊 it means a lot. I was thinking of doing an online tarot course to get some kind of qualification but I prefer reading books I think.. I would like a certificate or something though just to show off haha. I agree though that reading tarot cards is really fun and useful, it can be very calming.

  2. I think anything we post online is done partly in the hope that it will resonate with others. It could be your tarot card readings, or the various blog posts we write. As for random videos on Youtube; I prefer books to grab my attention because I question whether it’s just Youtube’s algorithms at work!

  3. Thank you for your insightful posts! Tarot cards ARE pretty Morgan Tarot! (and poignant) These cards should qualify as a branch of humanities such as I was taught in high school. When I do a reading for myself (play with them) it turns out to be just like a fun game of solitaire but with a tarot deck. And I’m actually learning something about my nature as I play. Truly an intriguing art form and photographing them makes it even more so. Joy!

    1. I’m glad you agree they’re pretty 😊 and yes they’re a kind of art form in a way. It’s always interesting to see what different artists choose to draw or use for each card. I have considered making my own cards but I don’t think I can make them as pretty as other people do haha. I like the older looking cards best though.
